Who we are

The Walking Game is provided by George Green, an individual based in the United Kingdom. For help, feedback or questions about these terms, email privacy@the-walking-game.com.

Your app licence

The iPhone app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement, unless a different licence is shown in its App Store listing. These terms explain our service and website rules and do not replace that licence or your mandatory consumer rights.

  • Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement

Using the game

The Walking Game is currently completely free. It needs a compatible iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Real-step play needs Motion & Fitness permission. Apple Health and Game Center are optional; internet access is needed for online features.

You must be at least 13 to use the game. If you are below the age at which you can agree to these terms in your country, your parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

If pricing or paid features change, we will explain them before you choose to pay. In-game coins, gems, ranks and rewards are game features. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Keep play safe

Choose a clear, safe space and stay aware of your surroundings. Pause the game around roads, stairs, obstacles or anything that needs your attention. Do not play while driving, cycling or using machinery.

Take breaks and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or unwell. The game is for recreation and encouragement, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Step counts are estimates. We do not promise a particular step total, weight change or health result.

Play fairly

Do not cheat, manipulate scores, interfere with the service, access someone else’s data or send unlawful or abusive material. Do not copy or redistribute our artwork or other protected content without permission, except where the law allows it.

We may restrict online features or remove invalid scores where reasonably necessary to address abuse, protect other players or comply with the law.

Progress and availability

Progress saves on your device and can sync through iCloud when available. Sync can fail or be delayed. Deleting data, changing Apple accounts or losing access to your device may affect your progress.

We may update the game, rebalance missions or rewards, and change or withdraw features. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practical. Apple’s services and other linked services have their own terms and availability.

Our responsibilities

We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the service. We cannot promise that it will always be available, error-free or compatible with every future device or software version.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits your mandatory consumer rights. The app licence and applicable law govern any further limits on liability.

Privacy, help and ending use

Our privacy policy explains how data is used and how to request access or deletion. Stopping use or deleting the app does not by itself erase records held in Apple services or data already sent to our providers.

You can stop using the game at any time. If something goes wrong, contact privacy@the-walking-game.com so we can help.

Changes and local rights

We will publish changes here with an updated date and explain material changes where required. Changes will not remove rights you already have under the law.

These terms do not prevent you from relying on mandatory protections or bringing a claim in a court available to you under the law where you live.
